Bei 2000 m in 5:59 konnten ihr nur noch 5 Afrikanerinnen folgen. Erst kurz vor der letzten Runde gingen Beyenu Degefa (ETH) und Dalila Gosa (BRN) an ihr vorbei und begannen einen langen Endspurt, dem Konstanze nicht mehr folgen konnte. Degefa gewann in WM-Rekordzeit von 8:41:76 hoch \u00fcberlegen, wobei sie den letzten km in etwa 2:42 zur\u00fccklegte. Auch Klosterhalfen lief die letzten 1000 Meter in 2:47.
